John Molson School of Business
Description

An innovative building integrated photovoltaic/thermal (BIPV/T) application has been installed on the new John Molson School of Business (JMSB) at Concordia University in downtown Montréal. The building's façade will use the sun's energy to generate electricity and pre-heat fresh air for the building. BIPV/T systems allow for a lower cost installation of solar technologies, with improved electrical generation efficiencies.
Project Highlights
- World’s first fully functional architecturally integrated BIPV/T façade that uses high-efficiency distributed air inlet technology.
- 24.5 kWp electricity generation (largest installation in the province of Québec)
