Theme I : Integration of solar energy systems into buildings
Description
Integration is more than simply connecting components – it means changing their design to work together efficiently and to optimally control and operate the building as a system.
By integrating the solar collection and utilization systems, savings are realized in both installation and material costs.
Therefore, the building functions both as a filter between the outdoor and indoor environments and as a solar energy utilization system that converts solar radiation into electricity, useful heat, and lighting.
