SNEBRN Scientific Director to present at a prestigious forum of parliamentarians and experts across science and engineering, in Ottawa on Thursday September 27, 2012.  The talk is entitled "Cities in the Sun: The Path Towards Smart Net-zero Energy Solar Buildings and Communities".  The event is organized by PAGSE, an umbrella group of 25 + science and engineering organizations operating under the auspices of the Royal Society, and is cosponsored by NSERC. Celebrating a Successful Partnership for Energy Solutions

On behalf of the nationwide SBRN, Athienitis, Hydro-Québec, Natural Resources Canada, Régulvar and Murs EcoTerra Walls were honoured by the Association pour le développement de la recherche et de l'innovation du Québec (ADRIQ) and NSERC. The SBRN was one of eight university-industry partnerships celebrated at a ceremony held at Marché Bonsecours in Montreal.

Au Canada, les bâtiments consomment environ un tiers de l’énergie, émettent des gaz à effet de serre dans la même proportion et utilisent un peu plus de la moitié de l’électricité.
